Regina District Industry Education Council will host their annual grade nine “Try a Career” Days, at the Balgonie Rink and Communiplex on May 12- 14, 2020. Students will be provided with experiences and orientations in a variety of career areas. After receiving a safety orientation from WorkSafe Saskatchewan, students will enter the presentation area where they will take part in hands-on activities. Approximately fifty presenters and post- secondary institutions will facilitate career related activities that will be 10-15 minutes in length for groups of 6-10 students.
All Grade nines from Regina Catholic, Regina Public, Prairie Valley School Divisions and File Hills Tribal Council will participate in this event and will have the opportunity to try their hand at a variety of different career activities. Post secondary reps from: University of Regina; University of Saskatchewan; Saskatchewan Polytechnic; Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies and Gabriel Dumont Institute will also be on site to meet with students. In addition all students will participate in a "Work Safe Saskatchewan" presentation.
